28 INSCRIPTIONS | May 2018 40 UNDER 40 MEMBER DENTIST Dr.Danielle Goldstein Pediatric Dentistry / Owner of Affiliated Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics University of Southern California -DDS (2010), Baylor College of Dentistry - Pediatric Dental residency (2012) I have been married to Dr. Tal Masserman (pg 38) for six years. He is an orthodontist, and we practice together. We have a two-year-old, Brooks, and two-month-old, Levi. We love to travel and enjoy activities outdoors. We also love watching college football (Go blue!) Words to live by: Don’t sweat the small stuff. Live each day and approach each situation optimistically. Having a positive attitude will help you successfully navigate through school, practice, relationships, parenting, and whatever else life throws your way. Put a lot of hard work into anything you set your mind to and the reward will follow. Always make ethical decisions while in school and in practice. As long as you always do the right thing, you will be successful. And remember to maintain a nice work/life balance—do things that make you happy and spend time with others who will enrich your life outside of the office. Mentor: My father, Dr. Bruce Goldstein, one of the founding partners at Af- filiated Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics. He always came home saying he absolutely loved what he did. He taught me to follow my passion and my heart. Those two things are key to success and fulfillment. Best thing a patient said: “I want to be a dentist like you when I grow up.” I grab gloves, a mask, and a mirror to send home with those patients!
